“Mr. President, You Did Not Listen!”

" Mr. President, you are not listening..." In an act of defiance perhaps not seen since President Truman fired Gen. Douglas MacArthur, the anti-war veterans group VoteVets.org, which has been influential with Capitol Hill Democrats, is launching a half-million-dollar TV ad campaign featuring Maj Gen John Batiste (Ret.), former commanding general of the first infantry division in Iraq.

WASHINGTON’S VERY OWN PARTY-HOPPING LIKUDNIK

Warmonger Joe (The Lieberator) Lieberman Demands Immediate U.S. Attack on Iran

(The former party-hopping ‘Democrat’ apparently hasn’t received his Peace memo)

Jerusalem Post

June 10, 2007

(Excerpt)

US Senator Joe Lieberman has called on the White House for an immediate attack on Iran, Army Radio reported Sunday.

Military action, Lieberman said in an interview with CBS, will accomplish two goals: The destruction of Iran's nuclear plans and an end to terror attacks against US soldiers in Iraq.

Iranians cannot assume that they have immunity; if we allow them to think that this is true, they will see it as American weakness and we will pay for it in Iraq, in the Middle East and eventually in the US itself as well, Lieberman added.

Don't Take Covert Action Against Iran

by Ted Galen Carpenter

The Cato Institute

(Excerpt)

Ted Galen Carpenter, vice president for defense and foreign policy studies at the Cato Institute, is the author of seven books on international affairs.

As the United States conducts major naval exercises off the Iranian coast, ABC News reports that President Bush has authorized the CIA to conduct a covert action campaign to destabilize the Iranian government. It is an unwise and potentially disastrous scheme. A far better strategy would be to engage the Iranian regime in an effort to create domestic pressures for it to reform.

Representative Ron Paul

Co-sponsors Iraq War Sunset Bill

June 7, 2007

(Excerpt)

Under the legislation co-authored by Abercrombie and Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), the original war authorization passed by Congress in October 2002 would expire 180 days from enactment of the bill, and a new authorization by Congress would be required to continue the war in Iraq.

It should be obvious to supporters and critics of the war in Iraq that our military has achieved both objectives authorized in 2002: removal of Saddam Hussein and the establishment of a democratically-elected government, said Paul, a senior member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. With both objectives of the original authorization completely satisfied, Congress has a Constitutional obligation to revisit this issue and provide needed oversight and policy guidance.

Was a U.S. Sponsored False Flag Terror Incident Foiled By German Security at the Heiligendamm G8 summit?

June 7, 2007

Speculation is growing that a false flag terror attack, to have been blamed on protesters of the G8 summit in Germany, was narrowly averted after German surveillance stopped a team of "US security men" attempting to smuggle C4 plastic explosives past a security checkpoint at Heiligendamm. The sensational revelation was given an official ‘cream job’ and buried here at the end of a Deutsche Press-Agentur news article concerning the ongoing battles between police and protesters at the global forum.

“German surveillance machinery detected the tiny stash [C4] in a suitcase in a car and the Americans in plainclothes then identified themselves. German police declined comment.”

The All- American Torture State: California State’s ‘Isolation’ Prison Cells Are Torture: Calif. prisons trying to reduce suicides

The guards have been doing so since October, when the prison system instituted a series of reforms to cut the high rate of inmate suicides. The steps were prompted by a federal judge's finding that a disproportionate number of suicides occurred in the isolation cells used to segregate inmates for disciplinary or other reasons.
