After living
a long and wondrous life, our mother, Louise O'neal Whitman lost her final
battle with Death today. She was 78 years young. By her brave and
loving example, Louise taught all who knew her to take large, audacious
"bites" of life and to live with dignity, enthusiasm and unyielding
courage. My brother and I, and all who knew her, were privileged
to have had her with us for so long. She will be sorely missed - always.
